Emily’s Creamy Italian Chicken Bacon Pasta Recipe
Do you feel like eating Italian, but don’t want to leave home? Make this rich creamy chicken pasta that will WOW your family and friends. With bits of bacon and onion, this savory crowd pleaser will become a new family favorite! I may have eaten 3 bowls the first time I made this… don’t judge me.
Ingredients: (Serves 8-10)
3/4-1lb of raw organic Chicken tenders
1 whole bulb of garlic (medium sized)
1 medium onion
3/4 stick of organic butter
8 slices of bacon
2 Tbsp of parsley flakes
1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper
1 cup of milk
2 Tbsp of flour
2/3 cup sour cream
Peel and chop garlic. Set aside. Peel and Julianne onion. Set aside. Cut raw organic chicken fingers into bite sized pieces. Melt the butter in a large frying pan at medium heat, add garlic and chicken. Salt and pepper the chicken thoroughly and sauté until chicken is cooked through. Remove chicken and half of garlic from pan and place in a bowl on the side…leaving butter and some garlic as well as chicken drippings in the pan. At medium heat. Add flour to the pan and begin whisking to create a gravy like consistency adding milk a little bit at a time until it is creamy but not runny. Turn down to simmer. Stir in cayenne pepper, parsley flakes and sour cream. In a separate pan, fry all bacon until crispy. Once cooked, chop bacon into tiny pieces and add to cream mixture and stir chicken back in as well. Once the bacon grease has cooled off, stir into sauce. In a large pot, boil water. Add in 1 pack of pasta of your choosing. I used rigatoni for this recipe but any kind will do. When the pasta is al dente, strain and stir into sauce.
